Our routines are based on proven, scientific training concepts, which are applied to your level of fitness, and ability.
Looking to add yards to your drive, trying for that college scholarship, or preparing for the NFL combine, look no further than Pittsburgh Pro Training. We are the leader in sports specific training. We have the experience, and knowledge to make you excel in your chosen sport. Our training methods are achieved through a structured and scientifically organized program that builds an athlete from the foundation up through proven physiological principles and exercise methodology, specifically for developing youth and teen athletes. The long-term outlook for the program is to run throughout the season and off-season using a integrated-periodization model that allows improvements all year round, with primary emphasis during the off-season and maintenance/injury prevention throughout the season, based on game and practice schedules. An example schedule may be as follows: off-season 2-3x per week, in-season 1-2x per week, depending on the athlete’s age, and physical ability and conditioning level.
This effort is conducted similar to Collegiate and Professional strength and conditioning programs in nature being a scientifically integrated periodized program instructed by certified professional trainer Matt Proskin. Matt holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Exercise Science, Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and Performance Enhancement Specialist. Matt is a former Strength Coach for the University of Pittsburgh and has worked directly with Division I Men’s swimming, Men’s and Women’s Track and Field, Women’s Tennis, and numerous other Division I sports.
We offer something that will take an athlete's physical development and mold their motor patterns, and conditioning to become more efficient and compliment to their other training and practices. It will prepare the athlete for the structure of future training programs and develop an understanding and appreciation for training and the discipline that goes into being a successful athlete. This type of comprehensive program is not available at most other facilities and the results speak for themselves.
